The down-home setting is as much a draw as the country music at this locally famous performance venue..
In Short
This longtime home to local rockabilly, country and folk music acts, feels more like a barn than a music hall. Dancing has worn the finish off the wood floors and stains have settled into the tabletops. Guitars and fiddles can be heard outside and the comforting smells of hops and malt greets you at the entrance. Emerging acts and regional and nationally recognized performers find their way to this tiny town on the Guadalupe River.

Armadillo Revisited.
Gruene Hall musically is to Central Texas, what the Armadillo World Headquarters was in the 70's....
Local acts and national acts are all great!

Authentic.
Some things never change and that's the truth when it comes to Gruene(pronounced Green). Good place for a brew and listen to good music. Travolta almost ruined it when he came to film a scene from one of his many flops( stupid angel movie). Go there, enjoy the river and a meal.
