The Best Barbeque?????.
I dont know why people continue to rank Bill Miller as one of the best barbecue places here in San Antonio. Obviously they dont know what real barbecue is supposed to taste like. Ive had better barbecue from the frozen aisle at my local HEB.
Bill Miller is Real, Pit Smoked Bar-B-Q!.
Bill Miller Bar-B-Q uses only oak wood to slow cook/smoke all of its barbecued meats. The brisket alone is smoked for some 20 hours in the flavorful oak wood smoke. Not only is the food awesome but the service is exceptional. The value conscious can not beat Bill Millers for great Texas Bar-B-Q.
Great value but real "Q"?.
It is true that Bill Millers is a San Antonio staple. It's great for a quick lunch or even take out on the way home. I think it's a stretch to call it real Texas Barbecue however. Usually barbecue is slow cooked over wood or charcoals to give it that flavor. Bill just doesn't have that. So for good down home "Q" I'll look for the smoke pouring out of the pit.
