My Family and I have all used Carrera for as long as I can remember, My kids have grown and they still know them by name. They have provided us with the best customer sevice anyone could wish for. This is a family owned and operated business and you are always made to feel right at home. We have moved to Rockport Texas and my children have all grown but Carrera still takes cre of all of our optical needs. My husband will continue to use Gary and his wifes kind and curtioues service even if he has to due it long distance. Just wanted to write to let them know customers are loyal because of their sercice and kindness

Best Optician EVER

When my wife and I visited Gary at Carrera Optical 14 years ago, our daughter had been diagnosed with Strabismus. We needed a true craftsman who could create a careful and exact pair of bifocals for a 4 month old child.

Gary knew everything the doctor asked for without being told. AND he stocked beautiful, tiny frames for infants, even though carrying that stock was probably did not make the best fiscal sense.

HE LET US TAKE A WHOLE BOX OF FRAMES HOME TO TRY ON OUR CHILD AND SELECT THE ONE WE WANT.

I told my wife, "I will never go to another Optician." And I haven't. Over the years Gary has fitted my daughter and I for many pairs of glasses. Sure you can get discount frames. But one pair of Gary's glasses once lasted me for 10 years.

Outstanding craftsmanship. Amazing service. He cares about his customers. What more can I say?

None Better

Okay, first the part that matters to some people --- you can find cheaper on-line sources, and Big Box stores. But --- cheap is cheap. Yugo's never appealed to me.

On the other hand, there is something about quality service that sets an expereince apart.

Gary Carrera and his shop have provided my wife and I high quality service. From fitting, to returns a year later to buff out a scratch. When I was about to go on a business trip, he offered to come in on a Saturday to help me with a pair of glasses I sat on.

Awesome establishment.
