Very Impressed!

I didn't know what to expect when I initially contacted them via telephone. I had read a couple of reviews and checked out their website. Both seemed very positive, but what helped me decide was the call I made them. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating--for me very important. I was able to set up my first appointment that same day which was great. I downloaded some of the paperwork from the website so I could complete it before I checked in. The facilities were very clean--what you would expect at a new facility and the tech/doctors were very friendly and helpful. They really showed that they cared for your pet. The prices were also acceptable considering the care they provided. They do get a little busy during the week, especially if you need to see a doctor. But if all you require is a shot for your pet--they are pretty quick. Seems you only need an appointment if you need to see a doctor. Doctors are out during lunch time around 1130-1pm but nothing stops you from getting a shot. They didn't push me do get my pet more shots than I wanted. They provide you with the information and you decide. Overall great experience with them. I plan to go back in the future.

I took my cat here to get her spayed. About ten days after the procedure, she still wasn't eating and seemed very ill. Now keep in mind, my cat is EXTREMELY tempermental and is a real pain to work with for anyone who is not me or my husband, so they were up against a strong force here. Dr. Rodriguez said that he had never seen anything like it which I absolutely believe. I'm pretty sure my cat just stressed herself out so much she actually fell ill. Yes..she's THAT bad. She's spoiled is why. Anyhow, I brought her back in and they kept her over the weekend, monitered her, got her temperature down and she was healthy and eating in no time. I want everyone to understand that the vet didn't do anything to make her sick, but they took care of her anyway AT NO CHARGE. This showed me that they genuinely cared about my cat even though she was terrible to all of the staff and was probably the worst patient they've ever had. So thank you to Schertz Animal Hospital for taking wonderful care of my baby even though she was mean as hell to you. You guys are wonderful and this will be the ONLY veternarian that I will go to from now. My cat is my child and I wouldn't take her just anywhere. I promise, this place is amazing. :)
