Should be on Texas Monthly. I found this little place immediately after the exit to Canyon Lake from 281N, not knowing what to expect. Well it was the jackpot. I am talking about the best country food in Texas. Cheap prices for great tasting homeade food. The neat thing is they have about 1200 deer racks on the ceiling. Stop there if you're going to Canyon Lake or Johnson City.
