Love H B's. Absolutely love this place! The lunch menus are great,but the homemade cakes and other desserts are to die for. Barbara always treats everyone like family.

HB's restuarant. This is a must place to have your lunch and breakfast. The menu items are made fresh and the food is very tasty. The atmosphere very pleasant with quaint tables set in an open dining room. Extremely nice workers and the owners are just wonderful people. I have enjoyed eating at HB's for many years and will continue to do so.

Frenetic diner keeps the standards flying at this downtown lunch mecca.. The Scene


The din of chattering power lunchers hits you the moment you walk into this spacious, checkered-floor redux of a classic diner. Order in the back from a wall-mounted menu featuring hearty salads, mouth-straining hoagies and homemade soups. But don't worry about getting a number or giving your name: they'll write down what you look like and the waitress will find you. While initially confusing, this system actually works.



The Food


Despite a unique method of delivering meals, there is nothing unusual about H B's comfort-food. Order up a crunchy-fresh chef salad and you'll get your daily serving of veggies along with your weekly-serving of protein in the form of deli sliced meats and a hard-boiled egg. Not on a high-protein diet? Try a carb-addicts dream: any one of their traditional hoagies served on 9 inches of airy soft bread and infinitely more enjoyable than the subs available at the nearby fast-food chain.
