I stayed there once on business and found it convenient, helpful staff, clean. Not a lot of fluff, but that is not why I stayed there. Showered and slept. Great Value! After that quality experience, I brought my grandsons out for Christmas. It is convenient to everything and we did feel safe. The Thai restaurant does serve a nice breakfast. Thai dinners good. Remember there are tons of other restaurants to try on Riverwalk and adjacent streets. I would stay there again. If you need clean, comfortable rooms, this is it. Staff can make your excursion reserverations. Airport shuttle drop off/trolley 1/2 block.

If you're looking for a nice hotel, this is NOT it. This hotel fell way below our expectations for a Saturday night stay. I was so disappointed in our room that I almost cried. Appears they have not redecorated since 1985 - and with the cheapest and ugliest fabrics they could find. I've seen nicer rooms at Motel 6. When we expressed our disappointment to the desk clerk, they were not willing to cancel our reservation. They charged us $191 anyway because of their "cancellation policy". The Manager has not returned our calls. This place is a real stinker. Poor service, poor quality. We went to the Hyatt and got a nice room with excellent service for less the money!

Cons: no valet, ugly rooms, parking lot views
