Fun n funky atmosphere and good seafood. Aside from the face that I ate too much fried shrimp, I enjoyed my experience at Joe's in San Antonio. I've eaten at Joe's in California as well and the food is pretty consistent. Joe's is not the place to go if you want to focus on seafood, as in you want pure seafood flavor. Every dish they have includes one or more sweet/spicy sauces or garnishes. If you're feelin' that, then great. One highlight was our server who was fabulous and efficient. River Walk location added to the fun. Bonus: I ordered a spicy Bloody Mary and actually got a spicy Bloody Mary.

A colorful seafood restaurant for kids of all ages--especially the younger ones.. In Short
Admittedly kitschy, unavoidably noisy, this Red Lobster for rug rats is like an oversized seaside shanty awash in oceanic memorabilia--fishing nets, souvenir trinkets, plastic flotsam and jetsam. Staffed with a lively crew of G-rated table-dancing servers, the family-friendly chain anchors its menu in all things crab: Crab balls, crab cakes, crab dip, crab gumbo. Finicky children opt for corndogs or hamburgers; shellfish-phobic adults dine on rib eye steak or mesquite-grilled chicken.
