Yummy!. I am a frequent visitor of Aldaco's at Sunset Station but I am so glad Blanca opened a new location at Stone Oak. The food is good and the view is nice, plus Blanca took the best bartender in town, Henry, with her. The portions and presentation are better at the Sunset Station location because they have a new chef, but the service is better at the Stone Oak location. Everything from the soups, salads, and entrees are delish. I love the tres Marias salad plus the cilantro and lime chicken and chipotle chicken. I will definitely be back soon!

Margarita Nightmares over the Owner!. I went to the new one in Stone Oak. WILL NOT RETURN and it is sad because it is close to my house. Food was good and so was the first margarita, but the second one was terrible. When we asked for a replacement I got a lecture from the bartender about how many drinks she has made in the last 20 years. It was insulting. The other bartender apologized for her, but then I found out SHE WAS THE OWNER!!

Her lack of concern and rudeness was so bad that I encourage everyone to spend their money elsewhere. When you are paying $9 for a margarita and your bill is $70 plus for two people, it should be a pleasant experience. If you do go, let her know you heard about my experience.

Lovely Mother's Day Brunch. My son and I attended Mother's Day Brunch at Aldaco's. I honestly can say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was just great. Very flavorful and tasty. Something for everyone. My 6 year old enjoyed it very well and especially liked the craft table where he made a card for me and something for himself. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the breeze. We couldn't have picked a better place. I am looking forward to their next brunch!

Best Tilapia Around!. I loved the food, service and ambiance of this excellent mexican restaurant. I was told this is where the locals eat downtown and now I know why. You have to go!!

New Stone Oak Location. We visited the new Stone Oak Location tonight. It is a very nice restaurant with outstanding views of the city and a nice patio also with great views and breezes. We were totally SHOCKED by the menu prices. Nacho's 12.95, Enchilada plate 10.95, Carne Asada plate with three shrimp 22.95. My wife ordered the enchilada plate which she enjoyed and said were very tasty. I noticed the rice and bean portions were small. I had two Beef Fajita's from the alacart section, and the flour tortilla's were as tough as a boot. The beef was good quality, but it lacked flavor. My son ordered two cheese enchiladas also off of the alacart menu and again his corn tortillas were very tough. He left 2/3's of his plate on the table. Service was fair at best with the waiter only visiting 4 times during the meal. I counted only 7 other occupied tables so it wasn't because they were busy. I hate to say it but I predict they will do well until everyone has tried it once, then they will resort to "all you can eat catfish" or breakfast to try to survive. It's sad because I know they made a huge investment and the Aldaco's Location downtown has been very good and reasonably priced. Glad we tried it, but we won't be back.

The absolute best place downtown to find gluten free Mexican food and margaritas!. The owner, Blanca Aldaco, and her manager Manolo are so enthusiastic about serving those of us with celiac disease. This is not so difficult because Aldaco's prepares everything from scratch from family recipes, so it automatically leaves out the wheat. The margaritas are very popular too, and made from scratch, so everyone enjoys them. I send our out of town Bed and Breakfast guests there pretty regularly and all come back raving about their wonderful food and service.

Editorial Review. Sip margaritas and sample authentic Mexican cuisine on the patio at this Sunset Station restaurant; catering and private events available.

great!. I enjoyed Aldaco's very much.

We sat on the patio and enjoyed great margaritas WITHOUT sweet and sour. They were served on a martini glass, they were strong and tasty. The bartender tells me they are made with fresh lime juice, tequila and controy.

it's romantic to seat on the patio and watch the sky turn about 30 different colors when the sun is goig down. oh yeah, food was on the mark!
