Great service, great food.. This is a great restaurant. I would recommend trying it out. The steaks are devine and the appetizers are all wonderful. The atmosphere is perfect or a dinner for two enjoying eachothers company.
best steaks ever. my last experiance there was great .food and service was most excellent .for some of the best steak flavors this place rocks.the atmosphere is friendly but bussling.
Very good food & service (m).
It remains one of my best places to eat a good bowl of chili and eatting a steak.
The price is worth the taste and service.
I have never brought more than 5 persons and never had issues with service or food.
Most of the time it is just my wife and I.
The Chili is one of the best I have had. Good and chunky and tastey.
The steak is always really fresh tasting, not a bunch of sessoning and not too burned.
I would recommend TLC for anyone that is looking for a good steak at a good price.
Avoid if you have more than 4 in your party.
After a business meeting, 7 of us went to San Antonio's TLC, on St Marie's. We hadn?t made reservations & were told the wait would be 45 minutes, which wasn?t bad. We were expecting a wait, & we understood the time was estimated. We were patient, however, more than twice the estimate wore on even the most patient. We checked with the hostess after the 45 minutes & were told that the group at our table was done & paid, however, they were still seated. We asked every 10?15 minutes & told the same thing. More than a 1 ? hours after arriving, we asked to see the mgr. We were given the same answer. We decided to leave & find somewhere else. As we approached the door, the hostess was starting to seat a large group that had come in 30 min AFTER us. We headed for door, a waiter quickly approached us & announced that our table was ready. If we had headed for the door earlier, would we have been served earlier?
While we waited, we sat in the bar. One of us was given her same mug, when her beer was refilled. The explanation - They had ran out of chilled mugs. OK ? but shouldn?t we expect a CLEAN mug, each & every time?
Our waiter was OK. His few mistakes could be chocked up as a large group on an already busy day. They were minor, & corrected quickly. The sourdough bread was wonderful & plentiful.
The real problem came when the food was served. I ordered Grilled Shrimp & Sirloin, with Grilled Onions & Mushrooms. The Grilled Shrimp was overcooked - black in spots. The Sirloin - black & charred. It was taken back, & was replaced with a filet, cooked correctly. However, this cut was too fatty. The Grilled Onions - some had been sliced for the Onion Strings, the rest were cut as I would have expected. The onions were cooked until the ?strings? were done, which left the rest undercooked.
I can't speak for the other 7. . .but overall ? I wasn't impressed. This was the 1st time that I had been to a TX Land & Cattle Steak House. . .and will also be the LAST.
call ahead for reservations. excellent meat....cooked the way I wanted it. The service was excellent but the restrooms needed a little bit of work.
Sad BBQ Place.
Went there for a late dinner. The food was not good. The BBQ sauce was just dumped on the food. We had a senior for a waitress who struggled at the order but was ok.
They did comp us a meal but the whole thing was not worth the time it took.
Yeehw! Git in here!. We went to Texas Land & Cattle off of Hwy 410 on a Thursday night. Ordered Ribeye steak, with the Wedge Salad (chunk of icerberg lettuce with bacon bits and croutons - better than it sounds, honest!) The server brought hot sourdough bread and then our salads. The steaks were very tender and flavorful - also very large portion sizes. More than we could eat. Prices were reasonable, but wouldn't call it cheap. Plenty of parking. Would definitely go there agin!
Disappointed. I had the ribeye and regret it. It tasted good, but was tough as shoe leather. I mentioned it the bartender and she said she was sorry but didn't do anything about it. With two drinks and the steak my tab was $32+. Seems like a lot for a mediocre steak.
Texas Land & Cattle. Truly an awesome restaurant with the perfect mix of BIG Texas ambiance and BIG Texas food. This place is a must show when relatives come for a visit. If they don't remember the Alamo, they will definitely remember the steak they had here.
Should be #1.
This steakhouse is by far the best steak I have ever had in the 5 states that I have lived in. While residing in Corpus Christi I would regularly drive 2.5 hrs simply to enjoy the steak at Texas Land and Cattle.
The price is great and the portions are Texas-sized. This truly is a 10.0 restaurant
