The Scene – Tourists and locals of all ages chow down at lunch and dinner, but the scene becomes younger and hipper as day turns to night. The decor evokes a sense of playful fun, thanks to touches like a neon-accented bar, purple ceiling and wall covered in maracas. – – The Food – For a light starter, order the tangy and fresh-tasting seviche served with avocado and thick homemade tostadas. Leave plenty of time if you want to fully enjoy the enchiladas de mole--slow chewing will unleash the subtle hints of cinnamon, chocolate and other secret spices. You'll have a…
Editor's Tips
- When to Go:
- A salsa and merengue band plays every Friday beginning at 10:15pm; a jazz band plays Saturdays, starting at 8pm.
- Save Time:
- The bathrooms are located down a long, snaking hallway that you enter through an unmarked door to the left of the stage.
good food/too loud

The food is very good, the prices are a little high for Mexican food. It is a bit loud with poor acoustics. A fun place to take out of town guests.
Recommended.
don't waste your time

The food was so-so the service was bad. Do not waste your time, honestly.
Very dissatisfied

We made reservations Saturday afternoon for Saturday evening for 18 people at 8:30 P.M. We arrived at 8:15 P.M. and had to wait
1 hour to be seated. This made us look but with the other members of the party. Some even had to leave because they had to travel back to Austin.
Not impressed

After reading reviews, I went to Rosario's. It was overrated. The enchiladas were only so-so. Will continue to look for a decent cheese enchilada. Otherwise, the service and decor were fine.
- Cons: mediocre enchiladas
Great Roasted Salsa!
by Tejas at Citysearch
Have been to Rosarios several times and haven't been disappointed. If you haven't figured it out yet, I think they have about the best fire-roasted salsa in "Tex-Mex City, USA" (aka, San Antonio), which is quite an accomplishment. The other great thing about Rosarios is that you can eat, drink and dance without leaving the place - nice to be able to make a night of it in the same establishment. Highly recommended.
- Pros: Good chips, good marg's, great fire-roasted salsa
- Cons: Parking, but no complaints once inside!
