Worst Hard Rock Ever....
My girlfriend and I were just looking for somewhere to get out of the heat and a have a drink, so we stopped in. We've eaten at a few Hard Rock Cafes and really liked them... until this experience.
We both ordered ONE beer a piece and drank them slow while cooling off and watching the videos. I finished mine and they asked if I wanted another one, I said no thanks and waited for my girlfriend to finish hers. Another bartender asked if we wanted another round. We said no and she brought us the ticket. The ticket was $18 for two domestic pints! I was like wow they are really expensive. So I paid and we left. We started talking about it and it didn't seem right... So I called and asked how much domestic drafts were. They said about $4.50. So we went back and I asked for an itemized receipt. They had charged us for 4 beers. The place wasn't even busy. Not at the bar anyway and they argued with me about it and got an attitude with me about it. The lady goes, "yeah.. ok... right.." The guy goes into explanation how he even poured us two extra beers when he had never served us!!!! My girlfriend and I looked at each other. These people must be freaking high!!!!
Finally the manager comes over and talks to us. He's pretty cool for the most part but seems like he is having to reluctantly side with us, the customers. Finally he credits my debit card for the difference, shakes my hand and gives me the new receipt. So far only the original charge has shown up on my bank account.
To make a long story longer, I will NEVER and I mean NEVER go back to this hard rock again. Jesus, most of us learn how to count when we're toddlers... I would think a couple of 30 and 40 something yr old bartenders can handle serving a couple of beers and keeping track. If they can't count two beers then how many more times have they screwed up people's orders??? I'm not even a demanding customer. Just don't treat me like I'm an idiot when you mess up. Don't go into details to help your lie if you aren't sure.…
Worship rock legends while dining on familiar American favorites..
In Short
Walls covered with decades of Top-40 memorabilia, rock songs blaring in the background and an all-American menu typify this music-themed restaurant. The kitchen churns out
group-friendly appetizers like nachos and Southern staples like barbecue ribs and chicken. Burgers are served with hefty sides of fries and the signature pulled-pork sandwich is topped with vinegar barbecue sauce. The gift shop sells branded items like T-shirts, shot glasses and hats.…
Don't Waste Your Time and Money!!. Approaching the restaurant we were not greeted nor seated by the hostesses. We stood there waiting and finally just sat ourselves. The Bartender was rude. The staff was very young and immature!!!!! They had a very unprofessional appearance. I over head them saying obscene and perverted things. I'm glad that I didn't have my children with me. Drinks were absolutely horrible!!! The restaurant was dirty. The manager was exactly like her staff and appeared just as the restaurant did. Thanks Hard Rock!!!!…
Avoid SA Hard Rock. The San Antonio Hard Rock does shady business. I've been there several times, but this last time was the topper for me. Never again! They added a tip to my service after the fact after already adding 18% gratuity to the check. The other time i went there the waiter put my drink in his armpit, so he could carry a bunch of drinks. As far as hard rocks go, this one in the bottom of the barrel. Be ready to get ripped off and have your imodium A D ready.…
San Antonio Native. I have never been too fond of the Riverwalk even though I've lived here most of my life but I have to say I do enjoy the times i have spent at the Hardrock Cafe. Its an exciting atmosphere that doesn't put a real big dent in your wallet. I never have any problems when i go and actually the staff is pretty nice whether you're out at the bar or even up stairs on the balcony. Oh and their Long Island Ice Tea isn't bad or any of ther other food for that matter. If anything you will most of the time always have to wait for a table. Especially on the weekends. I suggest "Reservations" !!!…
