Great place for a GIANT margarita.... Go for the fajitas and the giant tasty margaritas - they don't disappoint. The burgers are pretty good, too. Plus, you can't beat the location.

Great fajitas. I have been here twice and been happy both times. My only problem is the long wait on busy nights, and people from the river walk standing around at your table.

A Big Texas mistake. We were encouraged to eat inside on the coolest night during our stay with a "two for one" happy hour. The margaritas were served in a small juice glass. Get your two while the waitress is handy. Thought the Tex-Mex selection was very poor. Walk on down to Boudrou's or the Links Grille.

Great Goo-ey Bean Burger. My fiance brought me to this great restaurant on the Riverwalk where you can eat inside or out. We

enjoyed the best bean burgers here .. the Judge Roy Bean Burger! Ooozing guacamole and beans, add a side of jalapenos and fries and enjoy! If your really hungry, add an appetizer of potato skins. Oh, and make sure you have a few extra napkins. The wait staff is fairly efficient with the occassional exception that one runs into on busy days. I always enjoy my meals here, with few, if any complaints and leave with a smile. For prompt seating, go at off hours! (otherwise expect a wait)

Texas UN Friendly. The service we received at Republic Of Texas was of the worst ever. Our waiter forgot about us, acted like we were bothering him and then charged us for food we didn't receive. He then made a scene when he noticed he didn't receive a tip.

We usually make a point of visiting this restaurant during our trips to San Antonio, but we will now be going to Dick's Last Resort where the waiters are far more polite.

Quick a meeting place for quests. This is a beautiful/fun/ and great location for a restaurant in San Antonio. I like the atmosphere inside and outside this restaurant and they have great food and friendly waiters.

the Republic of Texas lives on!!!. The food here - what I've tried has mostly been very, very good. The BEST beanburger to be had in the state resides here - the Judge Roy Bean burger, favorite of Discordians everywhere - is absolutely classic and scrumptious. Ask for an extra side of jalapenos to be sure they give 'em to you, though. Appetizers are great too - the Alamo wings are a nice SA spin on chicken wings. Only thing I wasn't pleased with was their steak - but this is not a steak house either.

Try them in the early afternoon for best results. Service here was a variable when I visited but the prices are inexpensive for the riverwalk. Enjoy!
