Historic Sunset Station, the perfect wedding venue!. Historic Sunset Station is a gem for wedding venues! From the old world style chapel, to the train to the wonderful Depot with the stained glass. Sunset security is a joke.. It was a poor experience from the security at Sunset Station. After paying 30+ dollars a ticket, i couldnt even keep my stubb from the Dropkick Murphy's show. They then threw a 30+ year old man out of the show because he had no wrist band to allow him to drink...Of course.... the security never issued the man a wrist band, and them threw him out for not having one...go figure.

After i realized they didn't give me a wrist band either, i then went to get one, and spent 15+ minutes recieving a lecture from a security gaurd 15 years younger than me about the validity of my liscense... which doesnt expire for another year...I am very pisst about this violation of my rights as a consumer..

Good for groups and party's. went to the sunset station with a group of 2500. Good catering, attmosphere and service. I would suggest this experience with groups of 50+ so you can keep yourself amused.

Dining and entertainment at this renovated Beaux Arts train depot extends far past sunset.. In Short
Sunset Station, in the shade of the Alamodome, is a virtual club compound, drawing its clientele heavily from San Antonio's abundant tourist population. Made up of multiple entities, Sunset ranges from down-home Texas barbecue to outdoor music at the pavilion. Restaurants include Aldaco's Mexican Cuisine, Exit 141 Grill and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Sunset Station also has the Sunset Saloon (once the train depot) which features a massive dance club

very comfortable. This is a lovely setting with courteous people and great entertainment and food.

Stir some hype. Sunset Station does have potential, but I don't think San Anotonio stirs enough hype. Sunset Station is a big space complex with many different clubs to please, but the people just don't come, because the city does not make it a priority.
