In Short – The crowd at Bar America is diverse: Art guys from the Blue Star complex, cash-strapped students and working-class folks from nearby neighborhoods. Count on mostly domestic beer with prices left over from the dark ages, which makes this a favorite stop for late-night partying on a budget. No food is served--only beer, wine and packaged chips and nuts--but the jukebox and pool tables will keep you occupied.

Beer. The selection is minimal, but at $1.25 a bottle for Lone Star, can you really complain?
The Extras:
A game of pool on one of the three tables runs a whopping 25 cents, so lay your quarters down early and reserve a round.
