DON'T GO!. This place is dirty! Do not go there. I had went once before and there were roaches everywhere. I took a group of girlfriends downtown for a bachelorette party and against what I told them and they wanted to charge 10 dollars per person at the door for a group of hot chicks and it wasn't even busy. DON'T GOT THERE!…
FUN PLACE!. I've been to Polly Esther's a few times with my friends and it's always a FUN time. Whether it's the 70s disco music playing or the 80s music on a separate floor, the djs get the crowd going. The drinks are really good as is the general atmosphere. Highly Recommended!…
Used to be better. My wife and I went here to close out our vacation during Fiesta. We have been to Polly Esther's before and had a very good time. We both graduated in '87 so we really enjoyed the 80's music on the previous trip. This visit was definitely not as good as last year's. We spent all of our time on the "70s/80s" level, except this year about 75% of the songs played were from the 90's. I had a hard time understanding this since there is another dance level that is dedicated to the 90's. There were also no 'as advertised' $2.50 drink specials. The cover charge was jacked up, too, must have been because of Fiesta...we paid $10 each and, that was before 10pm. Everything on the Riverwalk is $$. Saying all that, we still had a good time. I would recommend to visit at least once...I just won't make it a must visit every time we are in San Antonio.…
ladies night? I think not!. I was very disappointed after going here on a Wednesday night when it was supposed to be "ladies night" with no cover charge and $2 drinks. First, there was a $5 cover charge and the doorman never heard of this "ladies night". Second, the drinks were $7.50 each and not very good. Third, the 3 levels of "fun" were packed onto 1 floor upon which the dj rotated an occasional 80's song (the whole reason I went was for the 80's floor) followed by 4 or 5 trashy modern radio hits. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this place, if you're looking for a fun ladies night of 80's music. However, if you like trashy, bad music and overpriced drinks, this place is for you!…
Fun Club. In the heart of the Alamo city. Has an attractive interior decorated to reflect the respective eras each floors music represents. Very beautiful and friendly staff which is what shocked me the most! Most venues of this stature unfortunately have a "you're here to serve us and we really don't need your business" attitude but not this place from what I've experienced. The drinks we're bad but the shots we're great!…
