Downtown's most beautiful hotel grounds.. The Scene
The mood here is set by six acres shaded by oak and pecan trees. One of the most unique features of the property is the innovative use of four buildings that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Details
An 1840s home is used for meetings, while the health club is housed in an 1850s German-style home. A Victorian cottage serves as a private dining room, and a former German-English School, located next to the lighted tennis courts, hosts special events--in particular, the latter came to national attention in 1992 as the site of the signing of the North American Free Trade Agreement. Each of the 252 guest rooms has a private balcony with views overlooking the peaceful grounds. The low-key decor makes use of soothing Southwest tones. Among the many recreational facilities you will find a heated outdoor swimming pool and lawn croquet. The property resides next to HemisFair's Tower of the Americas.

Great Hotel. The pool was great my 4 year old loved it and my 2 year old loved being able to play in his own pool without having to be held. The Anaqua Grill was a great dining experience. we waited 45 mins at another restaurant and left got back to the marriott at 11:00 as the restaurant was closing the manager took us in and got us dinner. The Grilled Adobo T- Bone Steak with Red Chili Cheese Enchiladas, Mexican Rice and Avocado Salsa had so much flavor the combination is awesome. The steak was also cooked perfectly medium wich is a hard thing to get a restaurant to do.

Beautiful setting. The Plaza is a beautiful hotel! I recently got married and I had one of my showers in the Plaza restaurant...it was beautiful! We also spent our wedding night at the Plaza...beautiful hotel. People were very friendly. I would definately recommend.

Top-notch. A lovely full service hotel. Nicely mixed age groups. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere and staff. Beautiful pool and gardens. Exceptional food. Spacious comfortable rooms. Great place to unwind. Sightseeing on foot or reading near the pool is a pleasure. Children of all ages are pampered at this hotel.

A Room with a View!!!. What a great hotel. Our room was perfect in every respect. The staff went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. John Esgate is the best.
