Horrible. As a Realtor,I joined Club Riverwalk so I would have somewhere nice to take clients. They said I could eat at the Crown Plaza on the riverwalk anytime. All kinds of discounts! What a let down. I want my $ back!! 111 Bar and Grill is the lobby coffe shop pretending to be a restuarant worthy of $20 entrees. My wife's shrimp scampi was chicken alfredo with shrimp. My daughter's fries were over cooked. But wait, it gets better. I ordered the "primerib", medium rare. I got a well done ribeye steak! I sent it back and got another peice of unedible junk. The cook was in such of a hurry that the outside was charred and burnt yet the inside was still cold!!!! There was only one other table there and the wait was so long I don't know how they could have messed it up so bad. Now I am stuck with this membership I have to use to get my money's worth. I would never go back if I didn't already have the investment. Maybe I can use it in Dallas.
A favorite with business travelers just a short walk to the River Walk..
The Scene
This high-rise, 410-room hotel greets visitors with an Italian marble lobby. The relaxed, welcoming public space is couched in muted burgundy and green tones. Although most of the clientele utilizes its extensive meeting facilities or the nearby convention center, the hotel caters to leisure travelers as well. It houses an expansive outdoor pool, sports bar, fine dining restaurant and lounge featuring live entertainment.
The Details
Guest rooms carry on the burgundy and green color scheme, which contrasts nicely with the dark cherry furniture. Standard guest services range from 24-hour room service and same-day dry cleaning to concierge and baby-sitting upon request.
a little mis-information. nice hotel, nice people. When I called, however, I asked them how close the Riverwalk was to the Hotel, they said it was right outside the hotel. They failed to tell me it was closed til September though. We had to walk about 3 blocks past homeless people, sleeping on the streets to get there. Also, I stayed from Wed. til Mon. and not once was the piano used in the dining area even though they advertise live entertainment each night. For the price you pay, it's just another hotel.
