In Short
The site of Fiesta del Mercado, Cinco de Mayo and numerous smaller festivals throughout the year, Market Square is also the year-round home to numerous shops and at least a hundred small vendors. Wares on display accentuate just how close San Antonio is to Mexico--serapes and sombreros, gorditas and Negro Modelo abound. Two large (thankfully air-conditioned) buildings house most of the vendors.
