malt house is the spot for a late night. I think that the malt house is a cheap eats kind of places. You can walk in with about four or five dollars and walk out feeling like a cow :) and sometimes with some extra change. My friends and I normally go there after school just to hang out and eat but it is better to go like right after the movies or work or even the club.

great food and prices. Our family recently ate at The Malt House. Our order consisted of:

2 burgers with fries

1 order of crispy dogs with fries

soda and milk

Our grand total was......approximately $11.00. We can't eat at Mc Donald's for this price! Our food was hot, tasted good and was served in a quick and friendly manner...what more could you ask for. What The Malt House lacks in elegance, it makes up for in their great food and service!!! We will be going back again soon!!!

Always Affordable, Always Delicious. I've been visiting the Malt House since I was a child. It was my fathers hang out as a teen and it has become one of my favorite places to eat. The food in flavor, variety and price is unparalleled by most of it's San Antonio competition. Try anything on the menu and you'll leave full and with a smile on your face. Although tables can sometimes be hard to come by they are WELL worth the wait. The mariachis are also a nice touch.
