A well-kept secret among coffee afficionados, What's Brewing is one of the best bean shops in town. The owners have their own roasting operation and each type of bean is scheduled for toasting every other day. As roasters, they supply many coffeeshops and retailers around town, but this tiny shop is the only guarantee for first-day freshness. Paulina and her brother Roger will be glad to help you find a blend you love, or blend the beans for you if you have a combo in mind. They also carry a solid stock of coffee paraphernalia.

No Fancy Extras
Coffee lovers who get high on the scent of the immortal bean will love the otherwise sterile interior. Prices here run a bit below those in competing gourmet coffee markets. And you can get a decent cappuccino here, too. The two tables are seldom occupied and the joint's not long on atmosphere, but the java itself is tops.
