Great Burgers. Even with all the better reviews, it is showing up lower than cheesy janes and fuddruckers. Shouldn't it be about the food and not if its got some plastic play stuff for the kids.

Mediocre at best. Not sure why this place EVER made anyone's best burger list. It is overpriced and mediocre at best. Onion rings were really poor; overcooked and with what apprears to be a conrmeal batter. Have eaten here twice, and it was poor both times. Chris Madrids has nothing to worry about from this chain.

I HAVE SEEN NEW CUSTOMERS BECOME REGULARS & VISE VERSA. OUR STORE IS ONE BIG FAMILY. OUR BURGERS ARE MADE TO THE WAY YOU WANT THEM MADE, FROM EXTRA RARE TO EXTRA WELL, FROM PLAIN & DRY TO FULLY LOADED. ITS YOUR CHOICE. YES OUR BUNS NO LONGER HAVE THE POPPY SEEDS ON THEM, WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PLACE THAT WILL MAKE THEM FOR US. IT HAS BEEN HARD TO FIND SOMEBODY. WE DO NOW HAVE FREE REFILS ON ALL SODAS & SWEET & UNSWEET TEA. I KNOW AT OUR STORE I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY KIND OF HARRISMENT TOWARDS OTHER EMPLOYEES WITH DISABLITIES. FOR THE CUSTOMERS COMING IN AT LUNCH TIME, THE WAIT IS GOING TO BE LONG IT IS LUNCH TIME. PLEASE FORGIVE US, WE CAN ONLY GO SO FAST W/O GETTTING THE ORDERS WRONG. THE MANAGERS ARE ALWAYS THERE TO HELP ANY CUSTOMER WITH ANY PROBLEM OR QUESTIONS. FOR THE EMPLOYEES THAT WORK THE CASHIER STATION CAN HELP YOU WITH ANY QUESTIONS WITH BURGER OR SANDWICH. WE ARE TRAINED BY THE BEST. THE PREPS CAN FIX ANY MISTAKE THAT HAS HAPPEND. WE ARE ALSO TRAINED BY THE BEST. THE KITCHEN PEOPLE ARE WHAT KEEP THE STORE RUNNING. W/O THEM THE DISHES WOULD NOT BE CLEAN THE TALBES WOULD NOT BE CLEAN NOR WOULD THE RESTROOMS BE CLEAN. WE WERE ALSO TRAINED BY THE BEST. THE MANAGERS HAVE ALOT OF RESPONSIBLITIES TO TAKE CARE OF. BUT THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE FOR THE CUSTOMERS. THEY WERE TRAINED BY THE BEST. Chester's didn't do it for me this time. I went to Chester's earlier in the month of February. It just wasn't the same this time, the meat didn't have that Chester's taste, it did taste like low quality hambuger meat, the hambuger bun didn't have the sesame seeds on it, it was as if I wasn't eating at Chaster's. I won't be going back for awhile and hopefully when I do return it will be like it used to be. In the meanwhile I will be going to Chris Madrids, now thats a hamburger.

Huge portions. I had my first Chester's experience on an extremely busy Friday during lunch hour. I was starving and could only eat 1/2 my burger and 1/2 my fries, although we had to wait about 30 minutes for our food. I think they get a certain number of orders racked up, then grill them all up at the same time because about 100 orders were called in groups of 10 or so with long waits in between. Whatever works--those burgers are worth the wait...so yummy!

Best Burger both sides of the Pecos. There is a reason why this place is packed at noon time. This IS the best burger you will get in San Antonio and you will experience the best fries also. I've been here dozens and dozens of times and I have yet to have a bad experience. The hamburger patties are seasoned to perfection. The fries are made from scratch right their at the establishment. I was never a fan of fries until I visited Chester's. Service has always been great (who cares if someone has a ring in their freakin nose). Their is also a great line up and selection of beers to choose from.

Order Up...Chester's Hamburgers!!. I had never eaten at Chester's and I had a really busy day today at work. A friend went and picked up some lunch for us and I still didn't get to eat it for about another hour. Much to my surprise, even at room temperature, that was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Would do again and will do more often.

good food, lousy service. I went to chester's off of 281, and the food was great....I just thought that the service lacked in quality tremendously....and I can't believe that they allow employees to wear jewelry around food in other places than their ears...the girl that took my order had a earring through her nose....nasty, imagine what gets stuck to that. From the girl that took my order to the person doing the drinks and calling orders, there was no customer service whatsoever. I should have taken my business else where, like 5 minutes down the road to longhorn tavern....they have always had great food AND great service.

2nd Best Hamburgers in San Antonio!. The hamburgers, fries and onion rings are great but the wait is too long for hamburgers. The beer selection is great for someone who drinks beer but for those of us who do not drink beer it would be better to give free drink refills like most hamburger joints do. The atmosphere is good and the place is kept pretty clean almost all of the time. But the best place in Texas for hamburgers is at Culver's a fairly new restaurant on DeZavala Road across from the Post Office. They have the best food and customer service along with the cleanest store and the wait is not near as long as Chester's. You have not had a delicious juicy hamburger until you have tried Culver's. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The customer service is excellent and you get free refills on your drinks. The staff will even get you the refill so you do not have to get up and let your food get cold.
