the worse place i have ever been. i was told this was a great place overall. i ordered the lemon chicken fried rice and egg drop soup.

the egg drop soup tasted like chicken noodle soup from a can. if i wanted chicken noodle soup i would have went to the grocery store for it. the chicken had no flavor to it and was hard to cut into some pieces. the "fried rice" was steamed rice with soy sauce and two tiny little strands of egg. fried rice is suppose to have egg, vegetables and some kind of meat in it this didn't. the best item i paid for was the soda. the waitress was nice at first then became rude after she was asked if the rice was steamed or fried rice she proceeded to say that she could get me steamed rice, totally avoiding the question then after that she no longer came by to see if we needed anything. the waitress was hovering over the person who was getting their card out to pay (every other place i've been leave the ticket and come back to see if your ready) then when a tip wasn't written in the tip part of the receipt the she asked where the tip was and then pointed out the amount that was written only covers the food and drinks. when she was told that there wasn't going to be a tip she said you need change to give tip in cash? she was demanding and rude, this was the worse place i have ever been and will not recommend friends, family or strangers to dine in or take out food here.

Never been disappointed. This place has always been good to me. I come in here every so often and not once have I had a bad experience. You may be put off by the dimly lit decor, (just order deliver or takeout!) but once the food comes out you'll be hooked. Unlike most chinese restaurants these days, they actually have a pretty comprehensive chinese menu, though it's kind on the down low (just ask). Anyway, i've dined in and had delivery and service has never been bad. I've been reading some reviews about this place, and i really don't understand some of the people that criticize the food here. I don't know if it's some kind of joke or revenge to write bad about this place but once you try it for yourself i'm certain you'll love it.

My favorite chinese restaurant. when at work and unable to leave the office when working alone the convenience of ordering food from here is fantastic. Comes in very handy when you have to work 8-12 hours and forgot to bring anything with you to work to eat. There is nothing that I have personally tried on their menu that I do not like.

Eating in the decor is old but the wait staff is very polite and willing to get you just about anything to make your visit a good one.

thumbs down. The service, and restaurant decor is dreary and depressing. The food made me regret coming here, it was waaay to greasy and tasted like salt. No seasoning or flavor. The price is way to high for such bad food. Sorry but it's the truth, try Vans down the road

Classic Fast Chinese. Fair prices, good portions, tasty food, and the staff is very polite. About the same as Van's Restaurant only quite a bit cheaper.

The Best Garlic Sauce In town. I have been to many Chinese food restaurants in San Antonio and this one is by far the BEST!!!!

If you want to have great food (not greasy like lots of others) than this is were you need to be.

I find that a great garlic sauce is very hard to find and I have found that most places in town barley pass for edible but Kings Palace has perfected the Garlic Sauce and it is GREAT! What they lack in atmosphere they make up on down right consistently great food. This is not a fancy place, very casual attire, but by far the best food!

Chinese review. I'm not quite sure if food was even okay since I was on the Hilton and was really hungry, on starvation. Portions are quite big but it took forever to deliver it, actually more than 1 hour and a half. I'd ordered 5 dishes, among these ones, my niece had ordered sweet and sour chicken and surprisingly that was the best choice, including dishes of the white menu. It was cheap, but you might get stressed with the delivery and how food tastes... After all, anything tastes good when you are starving right?!

Alternate menu. For authentic oriental dishes, request the "White" menu. Treasures like crispy pig intestine, salty squid, many soups...this is where owners and staff of other chinese restaurants go when THEIR places close. Best by far for authenticity and home cooked quality.
