The Best Szechuan Style Chinese Food!!
by rarriaga
This is the best Chinese food that I have tasted in San Antonio. Not your ordinary "fast food" chain restaurants like PF Changs. If you like Szechuan style chinese food this is the place to go. Authentic!!
- Pros: Excellent Food and Service
My Favorite

My old favorite chinese restaurant was named Ling's Dragon off of FM78 on the northeast side of town. Unfortunately they closed and I was left without a favorite Chinese restaurant. Until a friend of mine who worked at Ling's recommended this place. It is awesome, my favorite is the spicy shredded chicken. Hsiu Yu has become my favorite Chinese restaurant thanks to the awesome food, great service (they all know me by name) and the great atmosphere. Other good Chinese restaurants are Ding How, Royal Inn, and Peng's Chinatown. Make sure to try one of these four before you go to an overrated place like PF Changs or Formosa Gardens.
- Pros: Great service and great food
- Cons: busy during lunch
Okay but not great
by optinitsu
The food was fair if you want average Chinese food but its not "cuisine". I'd recommend PF Changs or Taipei if you are looking for great Asian dining.
- Pros: fried rice, shrimp toast
- Cons: service attention and price value

Twenty-four hours' notice is required for this extravagant dish, and it's worth the wait. The bird emerges from the kitchen with much pomp and circumstance.
