Don't waste your money. My husband and I have heard alot about Water Street Oyster Bar and decided to give it a shot this past weekend. Being from Florida my husband order the raw Oyster, they were not clean, warm and could not eat two of them because they smelled bad. (the chef could have smelled them before sending them out). Our son order the shrimp app. it arrived with his dinner and he even asked isn't that suspose to come before the dinner does. My Pina Colada was not to brag about at all. My mother's catfish was mushy. But the price was very pricey. For the price we paid for this horrible meal we could have had a wonderful meal a Boudro's. Oh and did I mention the floor was dirty, as well as the mini fridge that they had the salads stored in and the mens room as also filthy according to my husband.

Terrible Oysters - Bad service. The oysters were rubbery and the crackers were stale. They either wanted to hold my credit card or prepay before they would serve the oysters.......unbelievable! That was so you couldn't refuse the bad oysters.

Bad service but good shrimp. WSOB still has some of the best shrimp in SA, but the service is needs some serious help. A Corpus Christi native myself, I have been eating there since the first store opened, in the 80s. I had some terrible service the last time I went, and I haven't been back since. It's been almost a year already. The bar tender created a big scene about our ID's (we were all over 30) mind you and still showed them to her. The manager came to our table and asked to see our IDs again rudely too, even though we showed them to the bartender/witch. We didn't get our silverware until after we got our food. Did not get drink refills...etc...I was really sad because I have been a long time patron of the restaurant. I never been so tempted to get someone fired. I would not be surprised if they close down sooner than expected!!

Sweet Potato Fries!!!!. Fun local place with live music and nice patio. I'm not a big seafood person but they have good sandwiches/salads. The real reason to go though are their sweet potato fries - SO GOOD!!!

Try it you might like it.
San Antonio only has a few good seafood restauarants, this place gives you a variety of fish.
The potato soup is also enjoyable.

Just Average. My first visit to Water Stree was just average. The drinks tasted like they had been mixed by a bartender who recently graduated. I orderd appetizers rather than a meal. The peel and eat shrimp and the oysters were nothing great. Service was adequate. I will probably not return to this establishment.

Seafood Reveiw from you Guru !!. Honey, Child, let me tell you, the building was okay alittle to airy, not all that. Chipped up paint in the ladys room stalls. Service could be alittle more pro. Oh and I have had better boiled peelNeat shrimp at China Buffet. Olvie Garden has away better fried Calmari. There's was allitle gummy. Umm what else, Oh the Oysters. I love them steamed the prob with this was when you steam them you need them to be good size or they will be to little. Anyhow there taste was good. I would say all in all it was good but the need to work on some things. Really like for real!!!!
