In Short – Dinner at Silo is like dining at a hip Manhattan restaurant. On the ground floor is an active martini bar ; an elevator must be taken up an old silo to get to the dining room. Famous for its chicken-fried oysters, the kitchen also makes a great osso buco, and for dessert chocolate soufflé cake.
great place

Without a doubt one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. Great service and very consistent food. The menu has changed on occassion with more hits than misses. Bizarre venue on he outside, but once inside is very warm upstiars. Bar was very busy on a friday night, but we found a nice quiet corner after diiner. Excellent seafood special with hawaiian fish. Wine kind of pricey, but overall worth the price. I' will go back.
- Pros: great food , service
- Cons: off the beaten path but worth it
Great for seafood, not for steak
by MarthaSimms
The service is wonderful, my sister and I love the atmosphere during lunch and have for a long time. The BLT salad is wonderful! My sister had the Burger and said it was dry in the middle. Me being a Texas girl, tried the Steak with the garlic potatoes. Everything on the plate was delish, however the steak was tough. I ordered it med-rare like my husband likes, and it still had some gristle around the edges. For fish I will eat at Silo, for Steak I will go back to Kirby?s across the street and might even try Paesanos.
Fine Dining in San Antonio = Silo's
by hmreyes02
We went to Silo's for our anniversary and loved it. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was A+. From presentation, to service, to ambiance. This is a great cross between fine dining and cool lounging. The restaurant is lit just right for a romantic evening and the lounge is perfect for that after dinner drink and to relax. The wait staff was extremely courteous and professional. The menu was great and the surf and turf was just perfect. The lunch prices are significantly cheaper than the dinner prices but either is worth every penny!! Dinner for my wife and I with appetizers, two entrees, dessert, and one drink each was about $160. Thanks for a memorable night of fun, relaxation, and fine dining.
- Pros: To many to list...
- Cons: None
