I have been to Parklane West 3 times for therapy! I will continue to use them when ever i have a need again. The therapy I received has strenghtened me and has done it's purpose. I especially like the activities and have made many friends. The staff has been there when I call them and they take care of me good.

I WORKED at Parklane West.... First, I will say the RE-HAB FLOOR was GREAT when I worked at Parklane West and my Mother stayed there in 2004 and she was very pleased ...here is the rest of my review... I worked at Parklane West from 2002-2003 on the long- term care unit. I would NEVER let someone I loved stay there. It looks great but the staff was un-caring and burned out. There was a clique of CNA's that ran the floor so team-work was non-existant. So they were constantly short-staffed, and over-worked. I saw things like CNA's banging on the table if a resident fell asleep in the dining room waiting for Breakfast, a CNA that literally draped her resident over the bed-rail so she could change her brief, CNA,s giving showers at 530am so they could get their showers done before breakfast. I loved it when I got sent to the re-hab floor because they were professional and caring there. And while I had never been "fired from a facility" I was glad when I was let go because of my complaining and "personality differences" with the staff. This makes me so sad because Parklane West is home to AMERICA's heros from WWII and Vietnam..and they deserve better. I would love for someone to go in there undercover and blow the doors off that place. That is how I felt then..I hope it has improved but I doubt it. I too would give this place NO STARS

The best facility in NE San Antonio. Wow... I did not konw such an awesome place even exsisted. I for one have always heard rummors about nursing homes that are pretty sacry. Well, that is definately not the case at Parklane West. My mom was in their rehab (SNF) to recovery from her surgery. She was always treated with respect and they took great care of her. The staff and doctors that provided her care were very knowledgeable and definately showed that they are very capable. I am so thankful to have found such a great place where the staff truly care about the well being of the patients and their families. The therapy department is also top notch!!! Thank you Parklane West for all you have done for my mom, we will definately return if the need ever arises in the future!!! Much love to you all.

Excellent experience. My mother was a patient at Parklane West on their third floor for 32 days. The staff was kind and competent. I feel they gave my mother the care and compassion that she deserves. I was also impressed with the doctor that cared for my mother, he was helpful and explained options to us as it was needed. I recommend Parklane West to anyone who needs rehab and nursing services.

A GREAT PLACE FOR A LOVE ONE. Parklane West and its staff were WONDERFUL!!!!! They treated my family as if it was one of theirs. This was the most diffucult time in my life having to deal with my mother's condition. Parklane West and its staff made this transition as painless as possible, without them I don't know what I would have done. All I can say is THANK YOU!!! and that's not enough in my book. THANK YOU & GOD BLESS!

Horrible facililty. I thought I had placed my mother in an upscale facility. The staff lines up the wheelchair patients by the nurse's station where the patients sit for hours. The night my mother died she suffered for hours because the physician and staff were unaware of what a dying person looks like so they never ordered her comfort medication to help her through the dying process. Parklane should be closed down before they hurt more people. You can't submit a review unless you give the facility at least one star. However, they don't deserve any stars.

Not here. My dad was there less than 6 hours when he was given somone else's meds. He was sent back to BAMC and put on 24 hour watch. No one from Parklane has ever called to apologize or to check on him.

And..., everyone in charge,. vanished when I showed up to collect his belongings.
