Located in Brackenridge Park, the Witte Museum is an excellent outing for the entire family--especially the kids. The museum is an exciting learning place that focuses on history, science, natural science and anthropology. In addition, there is a year-round schedule filled with traveling exhibits, family events and live theater.

The Experience
A hands-on exhibit, the H.E.B. Science Treehouse, is a four-level building beside the San Antonio river. The Treehouse offers visitors a chance to view water exhibits, or catch a daily science demonstration in the basement. The Water Works exhibit and Little Treehouse, designed to look like a structure that's built into a real tree, has viewfinders for spotting animals and plants native to the river. More than just a museum, the Witte gives guests an opportunity to look into the past and learn about the future.
