Was introduced to Brown's at Hemisfair '68. Always the best enchiladas I ever had (enchiladas at the original La Fonda and from La Casita on Zarzamora st were also in contention. Mr. Brown passed on, his son took over and kept up the delicious heritage. Then he apparently sold the restaurant. The flavor was just as good when I last checked out the enchiladas over a year ago...BUT...the original enchiladas never had any cubed potatoes in them like the more recent ones..a big negative IMO. However, the sauce was still great as was the cheese. Take out those danged papas, please! I still ranked it 5 stars on the flavor alone.

CHEESE ENCHILADAS (ONLY) SWIMMING IN HOME-MADE DAILY CHILI CON CARNE (REAL CHILI!). YOU CAN GET 1/2 AN ORDER - 1 ENCHILADA, AN ORDER - 2 ENCHILADAS, OR AN ORDER AND A 1/2 - 3 ENCHILADAS. AN ORDER AND A HALF IS RECOMMENDED. THE ONLY OTHER CHOICE IS WITH OR WITHOUT ONIONS. WITH RECOMMENDED.
THE NACHOS W/GUACAMOLE ARE GREAT TOO.
THEY MAY NOT HAVE PICO DE GALLO, BUT WHO CARES. IF YOU ORDER ANYTHING BESIDES AN ORDER AND A HALF OF ENCHILADAS, YOU ARE MISSING A GREAT DISH.
