The Scene
Framed photographs, antiques and a ceiling painted like a cloudy blue sky with two hanging bicycles create a funky vibe.
The mirror-backed full bar is decorated with multi-colored tiles and lighting is dim. Seating includes booths, long dark-wood dining tables or couches and armchairs with coffee tables. There's a decent jukebox, three pool tables in the back room, and remarkably clean bathrooms.

The Food
Waitstaff is knowledgeable and friendly and food is good and hearty. The nachos are made by spreading toppings evenly over a tostada, which is then cooked and divided like a pizza. Other menu items include burgers, chicken salad with pecans and grapefruit, and Scotch eggs--hard boiled, covered in sausage and cracker crumbs and deep fried. Portions are sizable and the menu is large enough to encompass a choice for vegetarian diners.
