Store CLOSED DOWN!. Main street and Mainland location have CLOSED DOWN. Went there 8.27.07. Bummer. Its a better shot to check out the Bussey Flea Market instead on the weekends.

Amazing. Nelda's has such an amazing selection and the prices are great!!! I love to shop there whenever I need a costume, or just for my everyday wear. The atmosphere is wonderful: Funky Sheek, and the employees are so helpful and friendly!!! I would highly recommend this store to anyone! Happy Shopping!

Funky and affordable fashions gathered by an expert.. Right Place

Nelda's location is almost too convenient. Appropriately placed in front of San Antonio Community College on Main Street, this vintage treasure chest is a favorite among students. Funky polyester button-downs and textured velvet pants can quickly drain hard-earned scantron and textbook money on between-class shopping sprees. Nelda's commodities are more casual than the city's other vintage stores and according to starving students, a bit more affordable too.

The Goods
There really is a Nelda behind the store, and she's been in business since 1983. Anyone who has an appreciation for fashion and period pieces from the 40s up to the 70s will enjoy the wide selection and knowledgeable staff. The store carries quite a thrifty jeans collection (holes and tears included) and tons of polyester relics that complete any alternative attire. Accessories--jewelry, hats, shoes and bags--are worth a visit by themselves.
