The Theater

San Pedro Playhouse was erected in 1929 and is owned by the city of San Antonio. With its wood ceiling and doors and a facade that's a reproduction of the old market house, this theater in San Pedro Park is unique.

In the Spotlight

While the main stage is mostly used for musicals, the tiny cellar theater is the place to see traditional melodrama. Performances downstairs are informal and guests receive sing-a-long sheets. The San Pedro Playhouse strives to appeal to all audiences and to provide a training ground for local actors.
