Overview
When you enter the zoo you'll receive a map to the habitats of more than 3,500 amazing animals. When your legs need a rest, park-like shaded areas are perfect for picnics. Youngsters could spend hours in the children's zoo, petting and feeding llamas, sheep and goats or just romping around the playground.
The Experience
Go on safari along winding paths to see the wild animals of Africa, including lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants and even a family of rhinos. Experience where they eat, sleep and play in realistic and almost natural habitats. Enter the aquarium and imagine yourself underwater swimming with stingrays or playing with seals. Plus, visit the bears, big cats and reptiles from just a few, safe yards away. A big winner with the kids is Lori Landing, an interactive exhibit in which visitors get to feed nectar to the very friendly jewel-colored birds.

We had a blast at the Zoo in San Antonio. Only downfall was that there was quite a bit of construction going on so a lot of the animals weren't out. I Love the new Africa Live. Seeing the Hippos from under the water was really neat and my son thought it was just the best thing ever.

THis is a fantastic zoo! We love coming here. They have lots of animals to view, and the animals all look as though they are taken care of really well. The admission fee is super cheap AND you can even print off discount coupons off their website! You can print one for each member of your family, which is a super deal! They are open year round, which is also great! The zoo itself is clean as are the grounds. We like the petting zoo & feeding the fish! My kids love to make the little wax zoo creatures here, too! You can also bring your own snacks and drinks, which is an extra bonus! They have several eateries & snack places throughout the zoo, they aren't just located in one spot.
