A-MAZING!!!!!. It saddens me to say that I am a 6th generation Texan (a 6th generation Helotian/San Antonian at that) and have never stepped foot in this place! The food was awesome! We went on a Saturday night and were seated right away, chips and salsa were on our table before we could get comfortable in our chairs. I decided to order the Taquitos de Puerco and I have a feeling I will be craving these bad boys pretty often! The ingredients were fresh, the meat (roasted pork marinated in fresh herbs) was flavorful, and the presentation was beautiful! My husband had skirt steak with ranchero sauce...no knife necessary! The couple we were with had Enchiladas Verdes and some chicken tacos that they said were also very tasty! We will definitely be back very, very soon!!!!!!!!!!
One of my favorite restaurants in SA.
I have been in San Antonio for 2 years and I love El Mirosol. The food is gourmet mexican food and the service is inpeccable! If the weather permits, sit outside by the water fountain and enjoy the peacefulness. The chalupa is the best deal $5.95 ( just ordered it for take out) The enchiladas with 3 kinds on one plate are wonderful and the crab salad is a special treat for a mexican restaurant. I have never had anything bad there and have dined there for lunch and dinner at least 30 times!

Overpiced and bland.
This was all around unpleasant experience that ended with a slap in a face in the form of huge bill.
Iced tea: very chlorinated taste.
Chips and salsa: Chips ok, salsa = gross with a bad after taste
Beef fajita: this was just an odd dish. it was basically strips of beef in what tasted like marinara sauce.
Rice: Simply did not like the taste
The restaurant itself was not very appealing in terms of color choice and design and obviously caters to a wealthier crowd. However, was NOT worth the cost.
Best Food, Best Service, Best Drinks!. Wow, if you want the best and only true authentic mexican restaraunt. This is it!! You can not touch this food anywhere, the food is delicious! The drinks are awesome and the service is wounderful. I just found this place out and will be sharing this with everyone. The quality is nothing but the best when tasting anything from the chips and salsa to anything on the menu and then the drinks.
Tacos a la Parilla !!!. We've always had a good meal here at El Mirasol. The top shelf margaritas are kick a**!! The other evening I ordered, at a friend's suggestion, the Tacos a la Parilla with Chicken. They were delicious!! May be my new favorite dish!!
Poor customer service.

Complaint Description:
Ten Minutes after placing my order, I was informed that they were out of
Enchiladas Nortenas! I asked my waitress what she recommended and she
recommended the most expensive plate on the menu! I asked her if I could get
that at the same price as Enchiladas Nortenas and she said no, so I asked to
see the manager and he said no. I love their Margaritas, their food is good,
their service has always been extremely poor!!! The management doesn't seem
to care!!! The Margaritas are in fact so good that most people including
myself have always overlooked the extremely poor service!!! They should have
told me on the spot that they were out of Enchiladas Nortenas instead of
waiting 10 minutes to come back out! Needles to say, I will never step foot
in that establishment again!!! I also posted a blog with KTSA Jack Riccardi
The DISH and plan to call in to his show this week! If only El Mirasol's
service was as good as their Margaritas!!!!!!
If you enjoy watered down taste at exorbant prices....
I remember this restaurant from almost a decade ago... it was GREAT! However, I just recently stopped by and was completely disappointed. I ordered mushroom quesadillas -- they smelled great until I bit into them and discovered that the mushrooms were canned. At $9 for a simple appetizer, I would think they would use fresh produce. Ok, whatever, I'll let it go. I then ordered an avocado stuffed with crab and shrimp. Mmmmm, delicioso.... Not so much. A salad at $13, I didn't think I had to ask if it was imitation crab and canned shrimp. Wish I would have! It was disgusting. I ate two bites and had to set it aside. My significant other ordered an enchilada plate and his rice and beans also tasted like box mixes. I can say this -- the service was excellent. The waiter saw that I had not eaten my salad so he asked about it and then took it off the bill. That was very considerate.
I must say, at these prices and in this setting, I expected more. My memories of the place are wonderful but it seems like they are cutting corners. If you want this caliber of food, go to Taco Bell. Save yourself some coin.
Best Beef in town. Fantasitis food and wonderful drinks. Great environment especially on the patio. Highly recommend.
Fantastic food!. El Mirasol was recommended to us by our son. The food, margaritas and service were great! The prices were reasonable. My husband and I went on a Wednesday evening and had no trouble with parking or crowds and we didn't have (or need) reservations. We are looking forward to dining there, again.
A Hidden Gem. By far my favorite mexican restaurant in SA. I take all of my out of town guest here and they love it. I travel in and out of Mexico often enough to appreciate authenic mexican dishes with good flavors and this place has it all. The margaritas are the best!
