Excellent Pizza

Excellent pizza, probably the best I've found in San Antonio. That's not saying much because generally pizza in this town is pretty bad, but I did make excellent NY pizza in many places as a kid and this sauce is very good. Try it - good pizza!

Miss Ellie's is the Best Pizza in Texas!

In one word, "Phenomenal!" Everything in the restaurant is homemade from the dough to the sauces and all the toppings are always fresh! I've eaten pizza in many states including New York but this place is my absolute favorite! Not only to they have great food, but the customer service is personal and very friendly! The owners take great pride in the quality of their food and every pizza is hand-tossed to perfection! I live in San Diego but travel to San Antonio a few times a year and make it a point to stop by Miss Ellie's EVERY trip! I can't get pizza like that anywhere in California!

Best Pizza In Town

Just discovered this place a few weeks back. It looks like a homespun Domino's, having a small dining area and appearing mostly as a takeout place.

But the pizza is to die for. You can buy a whole pie or by the slice. The staff is very friendly and efficient -- even when crowded I'm in and out quickly. Just thinking about this place makes me hungry. You can't go wrong with Ms. Ellies Pizza.

• Cons: Closed on Monday
