I have been a client of Redox Hair Salon for over 10years, Jesse is a TRUE color specialist he has never failed my needs over the years. Yes I am sure there are other hairdressers out there who may come close for maybe less money but then again you really do get what you pay for. Although you do have to book two weeks in advance as it is hard to get on his books, but it is well worth the wait. He is super, he will take time to consult with you and listen to exactly what you are wanting. Dont waste your time running around all over town when you have over 20years of experience here at Redox.

Bad follow-up. For all of you ladies still going to Salon Redox and paying enormous prices....$60 for a haircut....up to $230 for cut, color, highlights...the works....I have two wonderful recommendations for you. I used to go to Salon Redox a long time ago and finally had to dump them because Jessie was always late or never showed for my Saturday appointments...and believe me....I spent ALOT of money there. And further insult was Jessie didn't even call me to apologize or anything. My first recommendation is Chong at Guys and Dolls....she has several locations but the one I go to her at is off of Culebra and 1604...she also has a shop up by 281. She is the best. She is also the Manager....color, cut, highlights, style....$120....way better than over $200 at Salon Redox. And when I need a root touch up $90. Gina, at Hair Island is also absolutely awesome. I've gone to her twice...the first time she only cut my hair...yesterday I needed a root touch-up (I have highlights so I am in between), the color wasn't exactly right but she was so committed to getting it right she redid it and she was wonderful...I felt bad about needing the color changed...but she wouldn't have any of it...she redid it no problem.....and the price??? Couldn't beat it....$94.00 for color touch-up, cut, wash and style....Come on girls...these guys at Salon Redox do not care about you....and you could use that extra money on something you really enjoy!! Cheers!!

They NEVER answer their phone!. A friend of mine recommended this salon to me, but after calling several times during business hours and leaving a message that still hasn't been returned 3 days later, I guess they don't really need my business.

Awesome Hair Geniuses!. I have been going to Jesse and Alvin for a number of years...they're really a great team! It doesn't hurt that they are great to look at, being cute and all. I can walk in and I will always get assistance for a quick trim. When I schedule an appointment for highlights, I am always greated like I'm part of their family. They are very professional and I will continue to go to them. They have come a long way and have always wanted a salon in the Alamo Heights area. Call them, your hair will love you for it!

Great Haricuts!. I have been getting my hair cut by Alvin for a few years and he has never ever failed me. His cuts are precise and clean. Great attitude and never rushes. You walk out looking like a better polished you!

Horrible service. I have been going to this salon for years and over the past year the service has become unacceptable. Jesse is a very talented hair stylist however out of 4 appointments I have made he has been unable to show up for 3 of them. I schedule at least a week in advance for a Saturday appointment (I go every 2-3 months for highlights and a haircut) and it never fails I get a call about 10-15 minutes before my scheduled time and am advised that they had to cancel because Jesse is not coming in for the day. I have given this salon far too many chances and regardless of the job they do I can't continue to give money to a business that does not think my time is important. Beyond that they do little to make up for the constant missed appointments which is poor customer service. I would not recommend this salon because they just don't seem to care about their customers anymore.

Hair Guru!!!. Jesse has been cutting my hair for many, many, years and he has never failed me. I have referred numerous clients and all have the very same thing to say, "he is the best". His skill and knowledge only compliment his personality. He is a great stylist that owns a great salon! My only complaint is that he hasn't expanded. Go just once and you too will see!
