Very Good Food. The food here is really good! Except for one exception, details below. You'll definitely have leftovers to take home with you.

My husband, and two daughters, both got the 2 for $20, plates. Starting with the appetizers, the spinach artichoke dip is to die for! And the cheese sticks are good too. My daughters both had the Cajun shrimp plates which were flavorfull and not too spicy hot for them to eat. My husband and I had the, Bourbon Street Chicken Shrimp. A word of cation here. I not liking butter in my food scooped off the spoonful that was on top of my plate of food. My husband, mixed his into his food. Both of us did not like the thyme butter sauce at all! Way too much thyme (the herb) was put into this butter sauce and made his plate inedible. The manager was nice enough to comp his uneaten plate, and offered to cook up a different plate of food for him to go.

A low-key, friendly environment attracts plenty of families to this reliable chain. Kids in the big booths--often clutching free balloons and crayons--usually outnumber adults sitting at the bar. The menu offers filling American fare with no surprises, from mozzarella sticks and nachos to rollups and burgers. Entrees include steaks, fajitas and main dish salads. The calorie-conscious can select from a list of Weight Watchers-inspired dishes like mesquite chicken salad and grilled tilapia with mango salsa.

Fabulous selection!. I love the food at Applebee's and my picky, picky family has trouble deciding among all of the wonderful options. (My favorite is the Oriental Chicken salad - WOW!) The only drawback here is that the smoking section is next to and totally open to the non-smoking area! Non-smokers beware & choose times that are not attracting bar customers because sometimes the smoke will choke you even in non-smoking. The food is tops, though, that's why we still go.
