User Reviews for Collectors Authority

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

06/10/2006 Posted by alucard608

Like the fabled halls of Asgard, Collector's Authority has become legendary to me. In my personal experiences with the store, I can honestly say they have not come short other than the occasional missing back issue. Never once have my questions gone unanswered. For instance, if I needed background on a character or a first appearance, they would always help locate or find out information for me either from their immense knowledge or from their resources at hand. They always go out of their way to make your shopping experience a pleasant one. Their free subscription service is highly recommended if you're interested in multiple titles. They're very good at locating issues even if all you remember is the cover or characters featured on the cover. They have excellent service in handling special orders in Previews. Like I mentioned before, their customer service is very welcoming and you never feel like it's a "just purchase and get out" store. For instance, sometimes, if they have a free moment, we would talk about comic book plot lines such as the recently passed Infinite Crisis and the current 52 or Civil War storyline. It's always good to know what someone on the inside thinks. They have a great toy selection ranging from Todd McFarlane to '80s G I Joes and everything in between (including DC Direct, my personl fav). They have a great selection on their back issues; everything from The Avengers to The X-Men and every letter in between. They even have a great Silver Age selection, rated best in town (that's where I found a Detective Comics #359, the first appearnce of Barbara Gordon as Batgirl), and the occasional Golden Age book. They also have a great rare and hard-to-find premium comics ranging from signed editions to variants and anything in between. If they're ever missing a trade paperback that you want, they're always willing to re-order or special order for you at no extra charge. Their sales are always the best, especially their upcoming summer sale (June 25th) which will include up to 50% in back issues (no exclusions unlike *cough* Alien Worlds *cough*), 25% off storewide sale, free hourly giveaways, and their 25¢ comic bins are never just 1-2 bins. I could go on and on about how Collector's Authority is the best comic shop in town but I'll end it short here. Best thing to remember about Collector's Authority is that they're just that - THE COLLECTOR'S AUTHROITY IN COMICS.

Pros: Best customer service, always know what they're talking about.

Cons: N/A
