WHAT. ATE THERE TWICE JUST TO MAKE SURE THEY WERE NOT HAVING OFF DAY ,WILL NOT EAT THERE OR EVEN STOP THERE ,FOOD WAS BAD THIS IS BEFORE I SAW BEHIND KITCHEN DOOR WHICH GOT POOR SCORES AND OWNERS VERY RUDE

Southside chinese/texmex getatway. Took the wife last night--hadn't eaten there in about 15 years-- and that will telll you how long the place has been there. Talking to the waitress, they have been open for 25 years and still have the same cook for all that time! Anyhoo, our food was hot, tasty and a good value for the money. Didn't try the mexican food this first time. Hot and sour soup was much better than your typical example and my egg foo yung/shrimp was great. We like it cuz they are open til 10pm, serve beer and easy to get to. Place is a little funky, food is great and priced right. My new go-to spot.

La Chinita. Very reasonable for lunch most are only 3.49 but don't go for dinner for chinese if you want fried rice it cost 50 cents more. Most Chinese Restruants give you an egg roll w/lunch special this cost extra. For 3.49 you get an entree, soup & fried rice. The food is really good the service depending on who is working is okay most of the time the waiters forget something .
