OUTSTANDING hospitality and great filipino food!. I'm in the Navy and I just recently moved to San Antonio from San Diego were they have alot of filipino restaurant, I glad find a filipino restaurant here in San Antonio that has really good filipino food and stuff there are really friendly. The restaurant is clean and the prices are low I recommend Lily's to any one who loves good filipino food......

I'VE HAD MUCH BETTER~ NOT WORTH TRAVELING ACROSS TOWN. I was excited to find out when I moved to San Antonio that there was a Pinoy Restaurant. I heard it featured on a local news channel when it won recognition as a good clean establishment. I was excited to go but was really disappointed when I finally went with my daughters.

The service was horrible. The waitress was impersonal only came around to take the order and to bring the bill. She never asked if we wanted additional drinks or refills. The food also took a long time. I figured if the service was so poor then there food must be good inoder for them to stay in business. I was wrong. How they stay in business is truly a surprise to me.

The pancit and lumpia's weren't very good. The pancit was very cold and the lumpia tasted like Chinese Spring Rolls and they were out of palabok! The Menudo was bland but the Fried Talapia was decent. My 9 year old daughter finished the entire Talapia. Although I am not convinced it was worth traveling across the city, the way I had.

THEY NEED A SERIOUS LESSON ABOUT QUALITY FILIPINO FOOD AND SERVICE FROM PHILLIPINO RESTAURANTS LIKE THOSE IN CALIFORNIA,SUCH AS GOLDILOCKS OR RED RIBBON BAKE SHOP. ~~~SOMEONE SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO OPEN ONE IN THIS TOWN. ~~~~~

Great hospitality, food and prices!. I was on a business trip to San Antonio and was able to bring some of my co-workers to taste the authentic filipino delacacies at Lily's Bakery. We were a group of 10 and from the moment we got there we were greeted with a warm hospitality and treated with fresh home cooking (figures...this is a family business). Being from Los Angeles, I was glad I was able to get others out of their comfort zone to experience and enjoy traditional filipino food. Since they're local they now know where to go...it only took someone from L.A. to show them the way!

Real Filipino food!. This place is really worh it! My favorites were the lechon kawali (really crispy), adobo (tastes like mom used to make) and the halo-halo (reminds me of being in the Philippines). The halo-halo was loaded with everything. There was no skipping on quality or quantity. My kids loved the egg rolls and the pancit the most. It's a real family place where the manager greets you and makes you feel welcome. The prices are amazingly low compared to L.A.'s prices, and the food is really authentic. The restaurant is clean and we ordered some baked goods to go. Try to get there early enough so you don't miss out on some of the treats. It's all fresh so some of it disappears real fast. We will definitely go back!

"GOLD FIND" of great filipino food. My family and I just recently moved in to San Antonio from Cali. Our family was craving for filipino food since there were many places in LA to go to that our friends have introduced us too. Since we have moved out here we have tried out the many of 6 restaurants of the filipino est. that have been mentioned. we read the reviews of LILYs Bakery thinking it was just filipino bakery! When you walk in the first thing is that unique aroma of filipino food, the ambience was perfect x-mas decor of the famous parol were hanging, filipino music and the the way they set up the restaurant invites you in as it was like your own house the fire place was a special treat it was like being at the house! When we finally sat down to order we were greeted with a smile and a friendly hello the waitress there was funny and made our 1st visit special she made the kids laugh. the prices are VERY REASONABLE we also recommend that they should start mixing the chicken and pork adobo in there famous sampler plates this plate was awesome i was stuff for that price less than $6 for that plate you either get 1 or 2 chicken or pork. the most expensive dish that was on there was a fish called bangus which was unbelievable for the size it can feed 2 people! my family loves this place and yes i recommend this to everybody there isnt a place like this in Cali. but this was a GOLD MIND of a find! worth the time and travel to get to. the pandesal was awesome which we got a sample of. One of our fav. which is the enseymada which is a bread with butter sugar and cheese wonderful. The owers are really friendly they talk to each and everyone that comes in to their restaurant getting to know there customers the service was great the food was great had a great time! thanks to lily they have a life time customer!

pricey and tasteless.... if you like kaldereta, menudo and asado just tasting the same, the meat is just cut differently. this is the place to be. even adobo would taste the same, just different color. the bakery products are ok but am not too crazy about. pandesal looks and taste like "monay". i would rather drive a little further to bandera where there's a better tasting pinoy resto there. it's worth the drive. believe me!

Filipino Food. I have only been to this restaurant once because I found the food to be too pricey. The people were very nice, typical of filipinos but the food wasn't great at all. The grocery store wasn't any good either, too pricey and they didn't really have a lot of choices. By the way, Lilly's is only one of the three filipino restaurants I know in San Antonio. There is also one by 410 and Bandera which is so.. so... But the best filipino restaurant I've been to is MyChokdee by Randolph Brooks. It may be a little far but I guarantee you it will be worth the drive. They have Filipino Food Buffet everyday with all the filipino food you can ever imagine, from appetizers to desserts. Aside from that, they have a huge grocery store with very reasonable prices! Check it OUT!

Worst Ever. I know that this is the only filipino restaurant in San Antonio and it was really BAD! All the food was tasteless, very pricey, and the quantity of the food is not enough. All of the food did not have that distinctive filipino taste and smell. I visited West Covina in Southern California. Thats where I was introduced by friends to filipino cuisine. I would walk into a restaurant called "Pinoy Pinay" and immediately you will be smothered with an aroma that would make you want to eat forever. I walked into Lilys and I didnt smell anything. Plus where is the bakery? They had stale deserts ie.Puto and stale bread ie.Pandesal. The lechon kawali that I ordered was stale, too big for it to fit into my mouth, not even crunchy, and for $6 there was only eight pieces. The pansit, the only ingredient it had was top ramen noodles, cabbage, and beef. I know pansit comes with a myriad of other meats and veggies. The halo-halo looks like it was made by a kid because it looks like they just tried to stuff it with all the incorrect items. The famous filipino "Dinuguan" dish only had beef for a filler and it wasnt tasty at all. The wait time for them to cool all this food was almost an hour. My lunch break was only 1hr. I will wait until I visit West Covina again to eat all the fabulous filipino cuisine it has too offer. Considering that this is the only filipino restaurant in San Antonio, it should be the best but...Lilys had nothing to offer and it was a waste of money.

Great first time experience!. My co-workers and I were deciding on where we could go to eat and we always try to eat somewhere different each time. We finally decided on Lily's after we started talking about filipino food and how much I missed it back home. Talk about a great experience! The manager takes the time to get to know his customers and he kept me laughing each time he stopped by our table, which was often! The only thing is the food takes a while to prepare but that gave us a great chance to look over what was what on the menus while waiting. I noticed the baked goods on the counter near us and I decided to grab a few orders of Puto (which I had been craving for months!) and Kutsinta. Once the food arrived it was very well worth the wait! I had ordered a Sampler plate w/ 2 adobo chicken pieces and let's just say I was stuffed. The pancit that came along with it was excellent. I also ordered Shanghai lumpia, very delicious! I will definitely be coming back soon and recommend this heavenly place to others who are looking for Filipino cuisine (as it is rare in San Antonio). Oh, and they make great ensamadas! It felt great to be in an environment with other fellow Filipinos. :-)

Great food and price. We went to this resturant on Saturday. It was great. Great prices and great people. I highly recommend this place and I am definitly going back. Three of us ate for under $23.00. I recommend the Biko and Adobo Chicken.
