When Are They OPEN!!! I just called and it's 17:00 and no one answered. I just wanted to order Take-Out.
I have heard from many people that they have the BEST enchiladas. And they use Velveeta...gotta love that. But when I drive home they are closed, and I just don't want to eat alone. So I called at 7:10 and NO ONE answered...What's up??? I dont know how to get there once I am home, so what am really asking is..When are they open (hrs that is).

Best Tex-Mex in San Antonio, based on 13 years of comparing many restaurants in town..
I love Tex-Mex food, and since moving here 13 years ago I have tried restaurants all over the city. My favorite dish is chickin enchaladas, so others may have to judge Garibaldi's on a different basis. Based on this dish, in my opinion, they are the best in the city.
While the meat is tasty, and the portions are generous, the sauce makes the dish. Unlike many other places, it doesn't overload you palate with chili sauce, or other spices. Both corn and flour tortillas are locally made and fresh. The tea is always fresh - a must with Tex-Mex food.
Easy drive west on Hwy 90 from downtown. Parking may appear very limited, but you can also park in the back or across the street. Service is good, but the place is usually busy, mostly with locals, even on off hours, so be patient. So, tourists as well as locals, don't be suckered by pretty pictures in the yellow pages. Go to Garibaldi's and you won't be diappointed. That is, unless you want to be seen, or you only frequent pretty places. Closed on Mondays.

Delicious, Authentic, Tex-Mex and Cheap.
The best little known secret in San Antonio. Every peron I take here comes back for more and brings thier friends to boast. The tortillas are home-made both flour and corn. Everything on the menu is great, I have yet to be disappointed.
My favorites are the Galdibaldi Plate with yellow cheese on the side for the tacos, county a la Mexicana tacos without egg (country sausage grilled with tomatoes, oinions and chilie), and don't forget dessert- the tres leches is phenomenal.
This beats Patty's Taco house (another San Antonio secret).

Simply the Best.
I'm not originally from San Antonio, but do visit it at least once a month because my father is in the military. After many years of searching for a good home cooked and delicious mexican meal, Garibaldi's satisfies both your stomach and soul. I recommend their Carnitas Ranchera Tacos for either breakfast or lunch. It's delicious! Their breakfast and lunch is the best I've ever had! I feel right at home each time I go and eat there. The bus boys and waitresses don't easily forget their customers and always greet and speak to you as if you're family. It's just wonderful!!!
