I have been going to this place for years. I have always had great service. Every once in a while I have to go in to have my eyeglasses adjusted. They do it for free. It is a great place.
Not Good – First off, the little map provided on this page was wrong. I drove in from out of town and had a hell of a time finding it because of that.
When I did find it, there was only one saleperson on duty, and she was busy with another customer. I stuck around for 30 minutes trying to get some help. Finally I just left, without the saleslady ever saying hello or anything to me. If you like being ignored this is the place to go.
Bad experience – I am normally not a complainer, but in this case it needs to be known. My 7 year old had gotten his vision tested, and my husband had taken my son to get seen. When I had arrived at the appointment I was greated by a friendly reseptionist (male), and I waited for my son and husband to come out of the testing area. ( I had arrived late because I work by Sea World and the appointment was at the Marbach location)
Within moments they came into the waiting area where I was and my husband had informed me my son needed to be seen by a specialist. Expecting to have a detailed explantion of the visit by the doctor, I was ignorned as the Dr. sat down in a chair and staired blankly at his dirty nails.
I walked over to the doctor and asked if he could fill out a form my sons school nurse had sent home, and he said rudely "Theres nothing to be filled out!" I said well didnt you tell my husband my son needed to be seen by a specialist? The receptionist then handed me a sticky note with a name and phone number scribbled on it.
In my opinion, I believe the doctor should have sat down with myself and my husband explaining why he felt he needed a specialist. I had no explanation of my sons vision, or even if he had found something wrong with my son. My husband had also mentioned, the Dr was very short with him and didnt explain a thing to him!
I have been to the optical before, and have had great experiences. I feel like this doctor was tired and probably hungry. In any case. My husband and myself had to take the time and effort to drive all the way over to that location- Marbach- just to get the cold shoulder.
Mr. Mike, my complaint is not coming towards you or your businesss, but that rude lazy Dr. you have at that location. I hate to say it, but you have lost my business because of that bad experience.
not at all impressed – from the start, the lens on the left eye was not right, the person at the store said that it was because i had not worn glasses for a long time, and it should correct itself. after several really bad headaches and blurred vision i took the glasses back. it turned out that i was right, the left lena was wrong, wow wonder why they did not believe me the first time. well, they fixed it promptly amd the glasses were fine. but i wonder where the 33.95 comes in, these glasses were close to 100.00 , single vision with cheap frames, i guess nothing stays cheap. any way after i lost a lens that kept popping out i took the glasses back to the store for a replacement, 28.50 for a lens replacement seems kind of high, but i need my glasses. so i asked how long, the lady said not today, their lab person was out and assured me that the next day after 12:00 my glasses would be ready. after 2:00 the next day i went back to the store,, but no glasses, the lab person was still not at work so now she wants me to pay for the lens, i said no, you have my glasses, i will pay when they are ready, this was today, saturday, so she says come back monday, well, i drive a bus for a living, so i will be driving illegally or not at at all till the lab person decides to come to work. so if you ask will i ever come back for glasses?? NO!! NOR WILL ANYONE I KNOW, maybe i will pay more elsewhere, but service was alwaysbetter than i got from MY ECONO.
MR. MIKE INSPIRATIONAL PERSON – I JUST WANTED TO SAY MY HUSBAND AND I WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT ON ALL LEVELS. I ALSO WANT TO REALLY THANK MR. MIKE FOR TAKING THE TIME TO SPEAK TO US. HIS INTEREST IN OUR SATISFACTION SAYS ALOT FOR HIS COMPANY AND EMPLOYEES. ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU MR. MIKE
