This pet store is phenominal. I've been researching a pet bird for quite some time now and have visited just about every pet store within a reasonable driving distance. Awana's is clean, friendly, informative, great prices and most of all they are animal enthusiasts. When I went to the store, I first stated that I was just their doing research and checking out their selection and prices. Knowing that I wasn't there to buy on a whim, the lady behind the counter jumped up to help me and allow me to interact with the birds they had there any way. They were clean!!! All the fish tanks were very well maintained and the puppies, rabbits, and rodents were all remarkably clean. The lady that was behind the counter seemed genually interested in my curiosity and questions and was more then happy to answer the questions aiding me in making the best possible decision later down the road. Not to mention their prices were far better then the big chain stores commmonly found around here, actually, their pricing on one bird in particular was better then any pricing I could find online! All around awesome store, that will receive my continued repeat business as well as word of mouth.
Pros: Clean, great prices, friendly knowledgable staff, animals taken good care of
Cons: limited iterature at the moment (Am told they will order more), too hard to leave!!!

Awana Pets was outstanding. No "animal smell", polite, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Open, and willing to talk. About the selling of an animal, and the upkeep of it. I wasn't pushed to purchase anything. One item was strongly suggested, and I knew it was needed (a heater for a snakes). Don't go looking for dogs or cats, you'll find none. What you'll find is clean, well lit, fish tanks. Happy fish with plenty of room. Well housed reptiles, and arachnid with bright eyes, and healthy skin. Fat rats and swarms of crickets for feeding. This shop was a haven for an exotic animal hobbyist. I highly suggest that if your looking for any aquatic, or exotic pets, supplies, or just some solid advise from an animal enthusist give Awana Pets a call or stop by. You won't be disappointed.
