Situated next door to the U.S. Post Office between the Westside's Bandera and St. Cloud streets, the bar gets its fair share of letter carriers looking to drop a few dollars. Non-federal employees shouldn't steer clear for fear of too much shoptalk. Here, things are generally laid-back, and beer prices have not mirrored stamp inflation. Shiner pints are poured out of the tap for an almost perfunctory dollar, leaving plenty of quarters for pool and the well-stocked jukebox. The bar is exceedingly well cared for, especially for a spot that's made several laps around the mail route. It's little quirks--check out the velvet clowns--keep it interesting.
