A well-preserved relic, from the glitter in the bar stools to the unbelievable pint prices.. In Brief Situated next door to the U.S. Post Office between the Westside's Bandera and St. Cloud streets, the bar gets its fair share of letter carriers looking to drop a few dollars. Non-federal employees shouldn't steer clear for fear of too much shoptalk. Here, things are generally laid-back, and beer prices have not mirrored stamp inflation. Shiner pints are poured out of the tap for an almost perfunctory dollar, leaving plenty of quarters for pool and the well-stocked jukebox. The bar is exceedingly well cared for, especially for a spot that's made several laps around the mail route. It's little quirks--check out the velvet clowns--keep it interesting.
