Owner Yvette Mery Haase's airy icing frosts some of the city's best cakes. The citrus cake, a confection of extraordinary taste, covers lemon cake with orange sauce icing. This cake turned out for a sea-themed wedding in soft blue waves, edible seashells and a starfish centerpiece. Top sellers, Italian creme and French vanilla, are robed in swirling French lace icing. Haase loathes "Ken and Barbie" cake toppers, preferring to make her own from twigs, flowers, fruit and other natural materials. Interesting cake shapes prevail with oval over round cakes and square instead of traditional rectangles.
A Recipe for Success
Limited to just four wedding cakes a weekend, bookings go fast. Affordable cake packages (minimum $375) include delivery and set-up. Cakes begin at $1.95 per person. Smaller, economic weddings have made the "to go" cakes popular. The kit provides: cake, icing, decorations and assembly instructions.

Sweet Secrets Cake Shop is a convenient, reliable, and fair priced. Whether it’s a wedding cake or just a simple birthday cake- you will be satisfied when you shop there. I’ve had many cakes from shops across San Antonio; Sweet Secrets has the best in town.
Pros: Flexible and incredible service.
Cons: Located in a small shopping center- look behind the car rental lot (NE corner of Callaghan and Fredericksburg intersection). Easy to find!

Sweet Secrets Cake Shop's hours vary during the week. If you would like to place an order or have questions regarding an order, I would advise calling first before visiting. The number is 210-341-4268. Also, Sweet Secrets Cake Shop is expecting to launch a website this summer 2008. This website will include a menu.
