It's not a martini bar.
If you're into Martinis or Wine and soft jazz music, this place is not for you. But if you're into everything else, then you are heading to the right place.
Jigger's has prided itself in bringing in a great music scene and they definitely show it. From class acts such as New York's Nightmare River Band, California's Still Time, or the Warp Tour veteran The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, music is much a part of their weekend culture as the libations.
The staff is always nice and ready to serve with a great selection of liquors and beers to satisfy anyone's thirst, Jigger's Bar is definitely a happy hour waiting to happen.
Bring your friends and family and enjoy a few drinks with the bar patrons and you will see how enjoyable Jigger's Bar really is.
If you're lucky you might see a patron jump on stage and join the band in some revelry.
I hope to see you there.
Best Dive Bar Secret in SA.
Stopped into this bar for the first time (a couple times now) in a long time. What a difference new ownership and clientele makes! The bar staff is exceptional... along with the comfortable atmosphere and shot specials. Stayed long enough to talk to the owners and a few (what seemed like) regulars too. Really cool.
I found that the jukebox is well updated and the sound is way good. Also, the live bands that I've seen come through and also scheduled were really good too.
I'll be back!
Great Time!. When i came in they had some sort of Reggae gig playing with a bunch of curly haired kids, everybody was dancing and really having a good time. I was approached by the new owner while i sat at the bar and had a pretty good time talking to him. The bartender was super cute and the drinks were definitely on par. They even have their own Bloody Mary called "The Inscorcist". Long story short, great atmosphere, great people, great drinks, great time. Thanks again Jiggers!
Awesome Live Music Venue / Drink prices. Came in on an off night and had a blast. Bartender not only gave great service, but was also soft on the eye's. Music and lights were nice and low key, which made for great atmosphere. Drink prices were reasonable. All in all it makes for a great weekday hangout / weekend party.
The Jerry Springer Show in San Antonio!. I went to this place to see music. What I got was a freakin staff-run drama show. If I had wanted to see a bunch of chicks screaming and dudes kicking each other in the face I would have stayed home and watched reruns on Jerry Springer. It's a bar; I get it. Fights break out. But most of the time it's some drunk customer starting it. The people acting the worst were the staff members, mostly the chick bartenders and serving staff. Freakin ridiculous. Some guy even went up on stage while The Ramifications were playing and stopped the song to tell everyone he just got kicked in the face and then the chick with pink hair went up there and started talking too. Are you serious? Did you seriously just interrupt the band thinking anyone here CARES about your white trash life? Thank God the band held it together and just picked it up from there and put on a good show. What a bunch of trash that works there. I'll never go back.
Great if you belong to the Klan.. Scary, dark hole in the wall. Probably needs to change locations. Need to change the name, a little offensive. Dont get caught saying the name of the bar in a public place. Might catch a beat down.
Good price drinks anytime anywhere.. Bar employees very friendly. The drinks are mixed to perfection and very good to drink. The beer is very cold and the patrons make for the best conversations. The friendly spirit of San Antonians is present.
VERY nice staff, really cool people, great drink deals and a very comfortable place to hang out!. There is great music no matter what you're into on different nights. They have punk rock nights, country music, blues, cheap drink nights for the working man and really friendly (and good-looking) staff. They even have a singles night on Saturday nights, karaoke nights, Texas hold 'em and much more.
Just Gross. Awesome Music and that's about it. I'll practice the old "if you can't say anything nice" for the rest. I was totally disappointed.
