Editorial Review for Malibu Grand Prix – by Eric Geyer

If You're Nine
This place was built for you, my friend. From the bumper boats to the go-carts to the birthday party room, you're in hog heaven. Sample any of the 65 updated video games in the arcade. Or spend your whole summer playing Skee-Ball to save up for that paltry stuffed dinosaur on the wall. Then belly up to the concession stand for an ICEE and just ... BE.

Older than 16, Younger than 35
OK, you're through the phase where you thought this place was for sissies. Time to go back for some nostalgia. This place is casual date central, with mini golf and bumper boats providing the perfect low-intensity romantic venue. Splash water on your true love and she's yours forever.

If You're a Parent
Don't worry, you'll still have fun at the batting cages, three tracks of slot cars, and you full-size Grand Prix Racers.

For the record this is my first message...so without further adio...Malibu Grand Prix is a nice place to go and get a bite to eat but there are several problems that I ran into. The lines for bumper boats and racing are really, really slow. I got the bracelet with a group and we were only able to play one round of golf and race once (this was in a 2.5 hour span of time). My two year old daughter had a good time and so did the rest of the group, but it was kind of expensive for just three activities. On a side note, the service was poor from the food counter, I felt like I was bothering her the entire time I was ordering a pizza for $14 and a couple of drinks. But to close on a good note, all of the people there were laughing and having a good time, it could have just been my group that didn't seem to get anything done.

Pros: Lots of video games.

Cons: Slow service, slow lines.
