Best Italian in SA, hands down, no contest (nolo contendre). The bomb! Shrimp Rafael is the best thing ever; awesome bread/dip; Pollo Rosa Maria is the best chicken dish; always knowledgable and friendly wait staff; family friendly; House salad with pepper pamesan dressing rules. All around best restaraunt in SA, Johnny and Damien know food!

Everyone has a bad day now and again. I have been to Carraba's several times, and generally been pleased. However, my most recent vist will be my last. I think my waiter was drunk or stoned or both. Not only did he forget my salad, but I was charged for it. My glass of tea sat empty for nearly my entire meal--despite me asking three times for a refil from three different waiters. It would be understandable if the resturant were busy, but the dining room was fairly empty. The worst part--most embarrassing-- was when one waiter yelled and cursed at another about how he was not going to sweep her section. Management was polite enough to remove the salad from the check, but still gave me a hard time about it. I am pretty sure I will not be back.

See you "Marinara". I have been eating at Carrabba's since I was younger. The original one in Houston has so much ambience and character. The location here has more of a traditional Italian restaraunt atmosphere, but the food is EXCELLENTE!

I prefer to create my own dish~~simple yet pleasing to the pallet. Penne pasta, marinara sauce and mozz cheese baked on top. AKA: Baked Penne.

Their sauce is so mouth watering....I always ask for extra.

The Fried Mozz is delizioso.....Calamari is so flavorful and the Italian Salad is THE BEST in Town!

I would eat there every day if I could........that must be the Italian in me talking. :)

Great for a romatic dinner for two or bring the "folla" ......dinner is ON!

An open kitchen churns out wood-fired pizzas and fresh-made pastas at this casual Sicilian-American chain.. In Short
Decorated with family photos of founders Damian Mandola and Johnny Carrabba, the open dining rooms pack groups of friends and extended families into four- and six-person tables and booths; smaller parties or couples can grab stools at the open kitchen's adjoining bar to watch chefs make dinner. The traditional southern Italian menu offers grill specialties like steak Marsala and fire-roasted chicken breast with sun-dried tomatoes; pasta dishes include fettuccine Alfredo and garlic-sauteed shrimp with linguine.

A true classic. Out of all the italian places here in San Antonio, I like this restaurant. The service is always good and the food always hot. Went there for a Sunday lunch and the place was hopping. The mussels in a lemon garlic butter sauce was divine. The calamari was crispy and light. Although we didn't like the homemade chicken soup...it was too salty. The pasta is always cooked aldente, never overcooked and mushy. And the portions are good. You will not leave this place hungry. The waiter maded sure we had warm bread on the table constantly and our tea was glass was never empty. Even though we were stuffed the waiter was nice enough to introduced us to the new dessert sampler trio, he was informative, friendly and provided quick service. Starters can make a great entree. Weekdays they are only open for dinner and the weekends they open around noon for lunch. It is a little pricey, but a great treat for a special occasion.
