Editorial Review for Alamo Cafe – by Lindsey R. McCabe
Atmosphere
A cozy courtyard of flowing ponds, greenery and wrought iron chairs encloses the entrance to the Tex-Mex cafe. Walking inside is only an extension of the exterior, with realistic clouds painted on the ceiling. Seating is available on two levels, with outdoor patios on each floor. The reasonably priced food and casual atmosphere are ideal for families.
Tortillas Anyone?
Everything at Alamo Cafe is homemade, from the endless tortillas, chips and salsa, to the sizzling fajitas and chicken fried steaks. And, if you're still hungry, try the apple cinnamon empanadas. These mouth-watering turnovers are filled with cinnamon-laced baked apples and served with Oregon blackberry syrup and vanilla ice cream. The aroma of fresh-baked tortillas, scrumptious frozen margaritas, and delectable desserts mix in the air, making Alamo Cafe a fragrant dining experience.

No matter what you order, fresh made tortillas you get. This place has great food for a fabulous price. Just be aware, you may pass this place up trying to find it, so drive slow when you exit I-10. With 2 locations in SA, this place is a "must eat there" restaurant.
Pros: Great Tortillas!
Cons: Tricky I-10 Exit.
