Not the best either side of the Pecos!. I recently ate at the Universal City Chester's and was totally disappointed. The first time back I ordered the fish sandwich. I expected it to be top of the line...like their hamburger used to be. It was soggy, and not much of a flavor to it. I really wish I had asked for my money back. I would not buy another. The second time back I ordered the regular hamburger. They aren't the same as they used to be years ago. Smaller, and not anything special in the flavor department. I gave them two chances. I will not be going back.

Going downhill fast. I have been out of town for about a year and a half. I have always looked forward to my Chester's, and always agreed that it was the best burger in San Antonio. However, my first trip back to Chester's was like stepping into a really, really bad nightmare. The fries looked like they had been fried in oil that hadnt been filtered in about a month, and they tasted like it too. My burger no longer had the delicious poppy seed bun that I had come to enjoy, and the bottom bun had the consistency of wet raw dough. My meal was totally unsastifactory. The customer service also seems to have taken a back seat, as well. I felt totally embarassed also because I had a friend of mine from out of town with me, and I had done nothing but brag about how great the burgers were there. I hope that they were just having a bad day. I probably will not visit this Chester's again, but I will try the one on 410. Hopefully, they are still doing it the way they used to. If not, it is the end of a dynasty, the end of the "best burgers in town claim".

2nd Best Hamburgers in San Antonio!. The hamburgers are always cooked just the way you ask them to be cooked and you can get any condiments you want on your burger and the burgers always taste great. Also the Onion Rings and Fries are great here and the customer service is okay but it does take a long time to get your food, and that is the only drawback to Chesters'. The only place better in town for burgers is a new burger joint on Dezavala across from the post office. They have the best juciest and best burgers in town with the cleanest restaurant I have ever visited and along with the best customer service in town, it cannot be beat. Too bad there is only one of them here in town! Employees are very friendly and make sure you have everything you need while you are eating. They will even get you a refill on your drink if you run out! Yes you do get free refills there also.
